Empowered to Empower
Scripture:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
Empowerment begins with knowing where true strength comes from. In our daily work and leadership, it’s easy to think empowerment means giving or receiving authority, recognition, or control. But real empowerment doesn’t come from a title, position, or even from another person — it comes from Christ working through us.
God doesn’t just want to strengthen us for our own success; He empowers us so that we can lift others up. Jesus modeled this perfectly. He didn’t hoard His authority or power — He shared it. He told His disciples, “You will do even greater things than these.” (John 14:12) That’s empowerment in its purest form — believing in someone else enough to trust them with purpose and responsibility.
As leaders, parents, coworkers, or friends, we have the same opportunity. Empowerment is speaking life into others when they doubt themselves. It’s giving people room to grow, to try, to fail, and to rise again stronger. It’s not about control — it’s about cultivation.
When we empower others, we reflect the heart of God. We become vessels through which His strength flows — not just into us, but through us. That’s how transformation happens: not from the top down, but from the inside out.
So today, ask yourself:
Who can I encourage to step into their purpose?
Who around me needs to be reminded that they already have what it takes?
And how can I lead in a way that builds confidence instead of dependence?
Remember — you’ve been empowered by Christ not to simply succeed, but to help others rise with you.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for empowering me through Your strength and Spirit. Help me to lead with encouragement, patience, and faith. Show me how to speak life into others so they can see the potential You’ve placed within them. May my leadership reflect Your love and bring out the best in those around me. Amen.
